Inside Tom
"Waving of the White Flag"
The abridged version: This
painting is about women and how
they are constantly hounded by
men's sexual desires. The women
have gone to a bar to talk and
have some quality girl-time. They
are continuously pursued by men,
shown as green trolls. One man
takes a sneakier approach by
coming from beneath the table,
undetected. He represents the
worst in men and man's tendency
to be deceitful when it comes to
satisfying sexual desire. His hand
is up her dress. Demons support
him. Moreover, the women are
frustrated. One woman sees the
man beneath the table and spills
her drink on him. An angel watches
and is disgusted by his behavior.
Finally, a lady waives the white flag
signifying surrender. They have
had enough.
